My sister was just here, dropping off some of my niece's old clothes (and shoes, thank Og!) for the kids. She was delighted to receive a $100 payment against the mucho dinero that we owe her. Thanksgiving was uneventful. Thankfully! Jimmy and I boycotted the family Dramafest and went to see Beowulf, (s'alright - Angelina Jolie's mostly naked, if you like that sort of thing. Jimmy came home right as the meatloaf was coming out of the oven, so he stayed even though he was supposed to go to the gym. He's in his happy place with the meatloaf even as I type. Last night I was going to bake the blackberry cobbler, but I couldn't find my cornstarch. I could have sworn that I bought a box awhile back, specifically with this recipe in mind. Oh, well. My yen for a sewing project has led me to spend too long online window-shopping patterns at the McCall's and Simplicity websites. Simplicity has a subsidiary called New Look, which I hear is a British fashion entity.
